EBV-specific TCR-T cells (Fudan University) is an investigational adoptive cell therapy consisting of autologous T cells engineered to express T-cell receptors (TCRs) specific for Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) antigens. Developed by Fudan University, this therapy is designed to treat recurrent or refractory EBV-positive nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). The engineered T cells are programmed to recognize EBV-derived peptides presented by human leukocyte antigen (HLA) molecules on the surface of malignant cells. Upon recognition, the TCR-T cells undergo activation and expansion, leading to the targeted destruction of the tumor cells through cytotoxic mechanisms. The therapy is currently being evaluated in early-phase clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary anti-tumor activity in patients who have failed standard-of-care treatments.
