Overview

The combination consists of extracts from *Echium amoenum* L. (commonly known as Iranian Borage) and *Rheum ribes* (Syrian Rhubarb). In clinical evaluations, specifically a triple-blind, randomized, controlled trial (IRCT20200712048088N1), the syrup demonstrated efficacy in reducing the severity of OCD symptoms as measured by the Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (Y-BOCS) over an 8-week period. While the exact mechanism of action is not fully defined, the therapeutic effects are thought to be mediated by the synergistic action of phytochemicals—such as flavonoids and rosmarinic acid—on central nervous system pathways, potentially involving serotonergic modulation.
