Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination ophthalmic solution containing **ectoine**, **carboxymethylcellulose**, and **sodium hyaluronate** is used primarily for the treatment of **dry eye disease** and ocular surface disorders. Ectoine is a natural cyclic amino acid derivative with cell-protective properties, stabilizing cell membranes and reducing inflammation. Carboxymethylcellulose and sodium hyaluronate act as lubricants, mimicking natural tears to hydrate and protect the ocular surface. The combined formulation is intended to provide enhanced symptom relief, improve tear film stability, and promote ocular surface healing in conditions such as postoperative dry-eye or irritation following cataract surgery.
