Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Efineptakin alfa + pembrolizumab is a combination therapy being investigated for various cancer types. Efineptakin alfa (NT-I7, GX-I7) is the only clinical stage long-acting human interleukin-7 (IL-7), a fundamental cytokine involved in T cell development that helps sustain immune response to chronic antigens. It is designed to increase T cell infiltration in the tumor microenvironment. Pembrolizumab (Keytruda) is a PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor that helps restore the immune functions of T cells, enabling the body to recognize cancer cells as foreign and kill them. The combination aims to enhance anti-tumor activity, particularly in "cold" tumors that are typically resistant to single immunotherapeutic agents.
