Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Eftilagimod alpha (efti) + paclitaxel is a combination therapy consisting of a soluble lymphocyte activation gene-3 (LAG-3) protein and a standard chemotherapy agent. Efti functions as an MHC class II agonist that enhances both innate and adaptive immunity by activating antigen-presenting cells (APCs), which leads to CD8+ T cell activation and proliferation. This combination has been primarily investigated for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer, particularly in patients who have developed resistance to endocrine-based therapies.
