EGFR(V)-EDV-PNU (also known as EGFR-VEDVsPNU or E-EDV-D682) is an investigational cancer therapy developed by EnGeneIC Pty Limited. It utilizes the EnGeneIC Dream Vector (EDV) platform, which consists of non-pathogenic, bacterially-derived nanocells (derived from Salmonella). These nanocells are loaded with PNU-159682, a super-cytotoxic anthracycline derivative, and are targeted to the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) using a bispecific antibody based on the panitumumab sequence. This delivery system is designed to selectively release the cytotoxic payload within EGFR-expressing tumor cells while minimizing systemic toxicity. In clinical trials, it is typically administered intravenously in combination with non-targeted EDVs containing an immunomodulatory 60mer oligonucleotide adjuvant to stimulate an anti-tumor immune response.
