eIAV + PD-1 inhibitor is an investigational combination therapy being developed by Accurius Therapeutics for the treatment of metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (mNSCLC) and lung metastases. The combination consists of an engineered Influenza A virus (eIAV) and a PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor. The eIAV component is an oncolytic virus designed for inhalation, which selectively infects and lyses tumor cells while stimulating both innate and adaptive immune responses. It is specifically engineered to evade pre-existing immunity to seasonal influenza strains. The addition of a PD-1 inhibitor is intended to overcome immune suppression within the tumor microenvironment and enhance the systemic anti-tumor response. The program is currently in IND-enabling preclinical studies, partially supported by a National Institute of Health Fast-Track grant.
