Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EIK1003 + paclitaxel is an investigational combination regimen consisting of EIK1003 (formerly IMP1734), an oral, highly selective, non-brain-penetrant PARP1 inhibitor, and paclitaxel, an established microtubule-stabilizing cytotoxic chemotherapy. Developed by Eikon Therapeutics in collaboration with Impact Therapeutics, EIK1003 is designed to selectively target PARP1 while sparing PARP2, thereby minimizing the hematologic toxicities (such as myelosuppression) typically associated with first-generation, non-selective PARP inhibitors. This improved safety profile is intended to allow near full-dose combinations with chemotherapy. The combination is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial (NCT06253130) for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, specifically focusing on platinum-resistant recurrent ovarian cancer and HER2-negative breast cancer.
