Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Emervel Volume Lidocaine and Emervel Deep Lidocaine are hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers containing 0.3% lidocaine, originally developed by Galderma and now part of the Restylane product line (as Restylane Volyme and Restylane Defyne, respectively). These products utilize Optimal Balance Technology (OBT) to create cross-linked hyaluronic acid gels with specific lifting and integration properties. Emervel Volume is a high-volume filler designed for deep tissue support and facial contouring, while Emervel Deep is intended for the correction of deep wrinkles and folds. In clinical studies conducted by the Hexsel Dermatology Clinic, these two products are used in combination for hand rejuvenation to address the loss of fatty tissue and improve the aesthetic appearance of the dorsal hands. The hyaluronic acid provides immediate physical volume and hydration, while lidocaine serves as a local anesthetic to reduce pain during and after the injection procedure.
