Overview

**enadenotucirev + paclitaxel** is a combination therapy evaluated for the treatment of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. Enadenotucirev is a tumor-selective oncolytic adenovirus that selectively replicates in and kills epithelial tumor cells, sparing normal tissue. It exerts its effect by infecting and lysing cancer cells, stimulating antitumor immunity. Paclitaxel is a microtubule stabilizer and chemotherapy agent that inhibits cell division by preventing microtubule depolymerization, leading to mitotic arrest and apoptosis. Preclinical and clinical evidence indicates that the combination enhances antitumor activity—potentially through complementary mechanisms, with enadenotucirev lysing tumor cells and paclitaxel inhibiting cell proliferation and possibly aiding viral efficacy. The combination is under development, notably for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer[1][3][7].
