Enavogliflozin (DWP16001) is an orally bioavailable, small molecule sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor developed primarily for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It selectively inhibits SGLT2, reducing renal glucose reabsorption and promoting urinary glucose excretion, thereby lowering blood glucose levels. Enavogliflozin has also been investigated for heart failure and diabetic nephropathy. The combination with investigational agents DWC202001 and DWC202002 has been studied in healthy adults to assess pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic interactions; however, the mechanisms or indications of these two compounds have not been publicly disclosed.
