Overview

Endostar + icotinib is a combination therapy used primarily in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Endostar (recombinant human endostatin) is an antiangiogenic biologic that inhibits tumor blood vessel formation, while icotinib is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that selectively targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), blocking its ATP binding site and inhibiting downstream signaling pathways involved in tumor proliferation. The combination has demonstrated enhanced antitumor efficacy compared to monotherapy, particularly by reducing microvessel density and VEGFA expression in tumors. Icotinib was developed by Betta Pharmaceuticals and is approved for EGFR-mutant NSCLC in China[2][6][8].
