Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Endostatin:angiostatin fusion protein** is an experimental recombinant antiangiogenic fusion protein consisting of endostatin linked to angiostatin. In the cited nonviral gene-transfer study, the ES:AS transgene was inserted into an EBNA1-OriP plasmid, electroporated into B16F10 melanoma and RENCA renal carcinoma cells, and expressed as a secreted protein. Expression delayed and reduced primary tumor formation in murine melanoma and renal carcinoma models, reduced B16F10 lung metastases, and showed greater antitumor activity than angiostatin alone.
