Overview

eNK:IO cells are a next-generation engineered natural killer (NK) cell therapy developed by NK:IO for cancer immunotherapy. These human NK cells are produced by deleting specific inhibitory receptors on the cell surface prior to differentiation into mature NK cells, resulting in "super" NK cells with enhanced cytotoxicity and tumor-sensing properties. The approach aims to overcome the exhaustion phenotype seen in other NK cell therapies and improve anti-tumor efficacy, particularly for hard-to-treat solid tumors such as ovarian cancer. The technology leverages umbilical cord blood-derived stem/progenitor cells and proprietary expansion methods to generate highly functional therapeutic products[1][2].
