Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Enteral Nutritional Emulsion (TPF-FOS) is a nutritionally complete, fiber-fortified enteral formula designed to provide total or supplemental nutritional support for patients with functioning or partially functioning gastrointestinal tracts who cannot or will not consume adequate conventional food. It contains a balanced mixture of water, maltodextrin, whey protein hydrolysate, vegetable oils, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and fructooligosaccharides (FOS) as a soluble dietary fiber. FOS acts as a prebiotic to support gastrointestinal health, reduce the incidence of feeding intolerance (such as diarrhea and abdominal distension), and improve clinical outcomes in patients with severe acute pancreatitis, stroke, or post-operative recovery. Originally developed by Abbott Laboratories under the brand name Jevity, generic versions such as Zhengxintong are developed and manufactured by Xi'an Libang Pharmaceutical.
