Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Envafolimab + platinum-based doublet chemotherapy is a combination regimen under investigation for the treatment of various advanced solid tumors, particularly lung and gynecological cancers. **Envafolimab** is a subcutaneous, humanized single-domain anti–PD-L1 monoclonal antibody that blocks the interaction between PD-L1 and PD-1, reducing cancer-mediated immune suppression. Platinum-based doublet chemotherapy refers to a regimen with a platinum compound (typically cisplatin, carboplatin, or nedaplatin) combined with a third-generation cytotoxic agent, such as etoposide, gemcitabine, paclitaxel, docetaxel, vinorelbine, or pemetrexed. This combination aims to harness the cytotoxic effect of chemotherapy and enhance antitumor immune responses via checkpoint inhibition. The combination has shown preliminary antitumor activity and manageable tolerability in small cell lung cancer and is being explored in other malignancies[5][6][2].
