Overview

Envafolimab + suvemcitug + oxaliplatin + 5-fluorouracil is an investigational combination regimen being evaluated for the conversion therapy of potentially resectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The regimen integrates two biologics — envafolimab, a subcutaneously administered anti-PD-L1 monoclonal antibody, and suvemcitug, an anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody — with a hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) backbone consisting of oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil (the FOLFOX regimen). This multi-modality approach is designed to enhance anti-tumor activity through simultaneous immune checkpoint blockade, inhibition of angiogenesis, and localized cytotoxic chemotherapy. The primary goal of this conversion therapy is to downstage tumors in patients with advanced or borderline-resectable HCC to a state where radical surgical resection becomes feasible.
