Overview

Relaxone Plus is a fixed-dose combination tablet containing the muscle relaxant eperisone and the analgesic/antipyretic paracetamol (acetaminophen). Developed and marketed by ADN Life Sciences, it is approved for the treatment of pain and discomfort associated with acute muscle spasms and musculoskeletal conditions. Eperisone acts as a centrally acting muscle relaxant by blocking voltage-gated calcium and sodium channels, thereby reducing spinal reflexes and improving blood flow to skeletal muscles. Paracetamol provides complementary pain relief and fever reduction by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes in the central nervous system, reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Together, the combination effectively alleviates muscle stiffness, reduces pain, and improves mobility.
