Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Robodrops (marketed in Hungary as Robo csepp) is a combination nasal decongestant solution developed and manufactured by PannonPharma. It contains two active sympathomimetic ingredients: ephedrine hydrochloride and naphazoline hydrochloride. Naphazoline is a rapid-acting alpha-adrenergic agonist that induces vasoconstriction of the nasal arterioles, thereby reducing swelling and congestion of the mucous membranes. Ephedrine provides complementary sympathomimetic activity by acting on both alpha- and beta-adrenergic receptors, further assisting in the reduction of edema and hyperemia. The product is indicated for the symptomatic relief of nasal congestion associated with acute rhinitis, sinusitis, and other inflammatory conditions of the upper respiratory tract.
