Overview

EpiCor + vitamin C is a dietary supplement combination designed to support immune system health and gut microbiome balance. EpiCor is a branded postbiotic ingredient, specifically a whole food fermentate derived from *Saccharomyces cerevisiae* (baker's yeast) through a proprietary fermentation process. This process preserves a complex matrix of bioactive compounds, including beta-glucans, polyphenols, vitamins, amino acids, and metabolites. EpiCor functions by modulating immune responses and acting as a prebiotic to support beneficial gut bacteria. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is included for its well-established antioxidant properties and its role in supporting various cellular functions of both the innate and adaptive immune systems. The combination is primarily marketed to reduce the incidence and severity of cold and flu symptoms and to manage nasal congestion associated with seasonal allergies.
