Epidiferphane + taxane

Epidiferphane + taxane is a combination therapy being investigated by the University of Florida for the treatment of breast cancer. The regimen consists of standard-of-care taxane chemotherapy (such as paclitaxel, docetaxel, or nab-paclitaxel) and Epidiferphane, a multi-ingredient nutritional supplement containing phytochemicals derived from turmeric (curcumin), broccoli (sulforaphane), and green tea (EGCG). The primary objective of adding Epidiferphane to the chemotherapy regimen is to mitigate common taxane-induced toxicities, specifically peripheral neuropathy and anemia. By reducing these side effects, the supplement aims to prevent dose reductions and treatment delays, thereby maintaining the relative dose intensity (RDI) of the chemotherapy and potentially improving overall tumor response and patient survival outcomes.
