Overview
A combination of eplerenone, a selective aldosterone blocker, and amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker. This combination is used primarily for treating hypertension. Eplerenone works by blocking the action of aldosterone, a natural substance that raises blood pressure, while amlodipine relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. Studies have shown that this combination may provide complementary effects in treating hypertension and protecting against cardiovascular injury in salt-sensitive hypertension.
