eptacog alfa (activated) + coagulation factor X (human)

Byclot is a bypassing agent used for the treatment and prevention of bleeding episodes in patients with hemophilia A or B who have developed inhibitors against factor VIII or factor IX. It is a combination product consisting of recombinant activated coagulation factor VII (eptacog alfa) and human plasma-derived coagulation factor X. The two components work synergistically to promote thrombin generation on the surface of activated platelets, effectively bypassing the need for factors VIII and IX in the coagulation cascade. Developed by KM Biologics (formerly Kaketsuken) and approved in Japan, Byclot is administered intravenously and is indicated for both on-demand treatment and routine prophylaxis to prevent joint damage and other bleeding complications.
