Overview

Er Zhi Wan + Si Wu Tang is a combination of two traditional Chinese medicine formulas used together for therapeutic purposes. Si Wu Tang (Four Substances Decoction) is a classical Chinese herbal formula that has been used since the 12th century as a blood-tonifying decoction. It consists of four herbs: Rehmannia glutinosa (Shu Di Huang), Angelica sinensis (Dang Gui), Radix Paeoniae Alba (Bai Shao), and Rhizoma Chuanxiong (Chuan Xiong). This formula primarily functions to restore and nourish blood, stimulate blood circulation, and regulate menstruation[4][5]. Er Zhi Wan consists of two herbs: Nu Zhen Zi (Fructus Ligustri Lucidi) and Han Lian Cao (Herba Ecliptae). This formula is traditionally used to nourish liver blood and kidney yin[8]. When combined, these formulas are used to address conditions characterized by blood deficiency, yin deficiency, and related symptoms. The combination is particularly relevant for women's health issues, including menstrual irregularities, menopausal symptoms, and fertility concerns[1][2].
