Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of eribulin mesylate and cisplatin. Eribulin is a microtubule dynamics inhibitor derived from the marine sponge Halichondria okadai, while cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent. The combination has demonstrated synergistic anticancer effects in preclinical studies, particularly in triple-negative breast cancer and ovarian cancer models. The synergistic mechanism appears to involve enhanced ERK1/2 activation and increased apoptotic activity compared to either agent alone.
