A combination therapy consisting of eribulin, a non-taxane synthetic microtubule inhibitor, and ramucirumab, a human IgG1 monoclonal antibody targeting VEGFR-2. Eribulin inhibits microtubule polymerization without affecting depolymerization, causing apoptosis through mitotic block at G2-M phase. It also alters the tumor microenvironment, exhibits anti-angiogenic properties, and decreases migration and invasiveness. Ramucirumab binds to VEGFR-2, preventing binding of VEGF ligands (VEGF-A, VEGF-C, and VEGF-D), thereby inhibiting endothelial cell proliferation, permeability, and migration.
