Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination product of **escitalopram**, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant, and **LABCAT TCJUSS**, a proprietary or investigational compound developed by Laboratório Catarinense. It has been studied as adjunctive therapy for depressive episodes, aiming to improve core symptoms including anhedonia and global clinical impression versus escitalopram alone. Escitalopram acts by increasing serotonin levels in the synaptic cleft via inhibition of the serotonin transporter, while the mechanism and active ingredients of LABCAT TCJUSS are not described in current literature. Used orally for the treatment of depression, especially major depressive disorder.
