Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), and quetiapine, an atypical antipsychotic. This combination is primarily used in the treatment of depressive episodes in bipolar disorder. Clinical studies have shown that the combination can be more effective than quetiapine alone in improving depressive symptoms, inhibiting inflammatory responses, and regulating oxidative stress without increasing the risk of mania.
