Overview
This is a combination of estradiol and nalmefene. Estradiol is an estrogenic steroid used to treat vasomotor symptoms of menopause, hypoestrogenism, prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis, and treat certain cancers. It works by binding to estrogen receptors (ERα and ERβ) and G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER). Nalmefene is an opioid antagonist that acts at mu (μ)-opioid and delta (δ)-opioid receptors as an antagonist and at kappa (κ)-opioid receptor as a partial agonist. It is used to reduce alcohol consumption in adults with alcohol dependence and to treat or prevent opioid overdose.
