Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Etanercept + methotrexate + depomedrone is a combination regimen used primarily in the treatment of inflammatory arthritides such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. Etanercept is a biologic TNF inhibitor that blocks tumor necrosis factor-alpha, reducing inflammation and halting disease progression. Methotrexate is a conventional synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (csDMARD) that inhibits dihydrofolate reductase, suppressing immune cell proliferation and inflammation. Depomedrone (methylprednisolone acetate) is a long-acting corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory effects, often used for rapid symptom control or as bridging therapy. This combination can be used to achieve better disease control than monotherapy in patients with moderate to severe active disease[1][2][3][6].
