Overview
A fixed combination therapy consisting of **etodolac** (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, NSAID and COX-2 inhibitor), **propranolol** (a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor antagonist, beta-blocker), and **sorafenib** (a multikinase inhibitor targeting angiogenesis and tumor growth signaling pathways). This combination is designed to synergistically suppress tumor-promoting inflammation, stress adrenergic signaling, and direct tumor growth pathways in cancer. Clinical studies show that this regimen may improve overall survival in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma and stabilize weight loss, with a reduction in certain toxicities. **VT-122** is the proprietary chronodosed combination of etodolac + propranolol; when coadministered with sorafenib, the therapy is under clinical development primarily in oncology, especially for hepatocellular carcinoma[3][5][7].
