Overview
Etoriga-T is an oral fixed-dose combination tablet containing the selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor etoricoxib and the centrally acting muscle relaxant thiocolchicoside. Developed and marketed by Auriga Laboratories, it is indicated for the treatment of acute pain, inflammation, and muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and low back pain. Etoricoxib provides anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, while thiocolchicoside acts as a competitive GABAA receptor antagonist and glycine receptor agonist to reduce muscle stiffness and spasms without causing significant sedation.
