ETR028 + ETR029

ETR028 + ETR029 is a combination of two novel oral prodrugs of hydrocodone developed as part of the O2P (Oral Overdose Protected) platform. These compounds are designed to manage acute pain while providing overdose protection. The combination is being evaluated for its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile compared to standard hydrocodone bitartrate in healthy adult subjects. Both agents are intended to be activated in the body into hydrocodone but have chemical modifications that may reduce abuse potential or risk of overdose by limiting rapid release or conversion outside normal metabolic pathways[6][8]. The drugs are currently under investigation and not yet approved for clinical use.
