EV71-Zhejiang Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention-hand, foot and mouth disease-seasonal influenza

This refers to the co-administration of an inactivated Enterovirus 71 (EV71) vaccine and a trivalent split-virion inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV3). The EV71 vaccine, manufactured by the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, is a Vero cell-based inactivated vaccine (genotype C4, strain AHFY087VP5) designed to prevent hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD). The IIV3 vaccine, manufactured by the Changchun Institute of Biological Products, contains hemagglutinin antigens for influenza A (H1N1 and H3N2) and influenza B strains to prevent seasonal influenza. A Phase 4 clinical trial conducted by the Zhejiang Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention evaluated the safety and immunogenicity of administering these two vaccines simultaneously in infants aged 6 to 12 months, demonstrating that co-administration is safe and provides satisfactory immune responses against both pathogens.
