Overview

A combination therapy consisting of ezabenlimab (BI-754091), a PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor, and afatinib, an irreversible ErbB family blocker that targets EGFR, HER2, and ErbB4. This combination is being investigated primarily for the treatment of advanced or metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) that has become refractory to at least one line of systemic treatment.
