Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EZC Pak + vitamin D is an over-the-counter dietary supplement formulated by physician Sarath Malepati, MD, and developed by the company EZC Pak. It is designed as a 5-day tapered immune support dose pack containing four active ingredients: certified organic Echinacea purpurea (550mg), zinc acetate (25mg), vitamin C (250mg), and vitamin D3 (1000 IU). The product is intended to support immune system function during upper respiratory infections (URIs) and was created to reduce inappropriate antibiotic use in viral URIs. A double-blind, randomized controlled clinical trial (NCT04943575) demonstrated that EZC Pak participants recovered 1.39 days faster than placebo and reported 17.43% lower symptom severity scores. The product is available in vegetarian, gluten-free capsules with no added sugar.
