**F16IL2 + cytarabine** is an investigational combination therapy consisting of F16IL2—a fully human recombinant monoclonal antibody-cytokine fusion protein—and cytarabine, a cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agent. F16IL2 is an antibody fragment (scFv F16 in diabody format) fused to two IL-2 molecules, specifically targeting the A1 domain of tenascin-C found in the extracellular matrix of tumors, especially leukemia-modified stroma. This enables localized delivery and retention of IL-2, stimulating site-specific immune activation. Cytarabine is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis, directly inducing leukemic cell death. The combination aims to synergistically boost anti-leukemia immune responses—particularly natural killer and CD8+ T cell-mediated cytotoxicity—alongside cytotoxic chemotherapy. The combination has been tested in early-phase studies, primarily for treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) relapse following allogeneic stem cell transplantation[1][2][3][4].
