Overview

F2F23B + DL001Z-NH is a bivalent mRNA-based seasonal influenza vaccine candidate developed by GSK. The vaccine utilizes lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology to deliver two distinct nucleoside-modified messenger RNA (mRNA) constructs: F2F23B, which encodes the hemagglutinin (HA) protein of an Influenza A/H1N1 strain, and DL001Z-NH, which encodes the HA protein of an Influenza A/H3N2 strain. By directing host cells to produce these viral antigens, the vaccine aims to elicit a robust neutralizing antibody response and T-cell mediated immunity against circulating seasonal influenza A viruses. This candidate is part of GSK's broader mRNA vaccine portfolio, which includes multivalent formulations like GSK4382276A, and has been evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials to assess its safety, reactogenicity, and immunogenicity in healthy younger and older adults.
