Overview

Favezelimab + pembrolizumab is an investigational fixed-dose combination therapy consisting of two monoclonal antibodies targeting immune checkpoint pathways. Favezelimab is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that targets lymphocyte activation gene 3 (LAG-3), an immunomodulatory receptor expressed on various immune cells that downregulates T cell proliferation and activation. By blocking LAG-3 from binding to its primary ligand (major histocompatibility complex class II molecules), favezelimab aims to restore T cell effector function. Pembrolizumab is a programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) inhibitor that blocks the PD-1 pathway to enhance antitumor immune responses. The combination is being developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma and multiple solid tumors, particularly in patients who have progressed following prior anti-PD-1 therapy[2][3][5][7].
