Fc(A680)-VH4127 is a conjugate molecule designed for targeted in vivo imaging and drug delivery. It consists of a fluorescently labeled Fc fragment (A680) conjugated to the peptide VH4127, which specifically binds the low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) with high affinity. The VH4127 peptide provides selective targeting of cells and tissues expressing LDLR, such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), enabling tumor-selective imaging and potential therapeutic delivery. The conjugate enters target cells via LDLR-mediated endocytosis and traffics to lysosomal compartments, and demonstrates high proteolytic stability and extended serum half-life due to the Fc fragment. In preclinical models, Fc(A680)-VH4127 accumulates specifically in LDLR-expressing tumors, including metastatic sites, with minimal uptake in healthy tissues and no detectable adverse effects on hepatic or renal function[3]. This agent is primarily investigated for potential tumor imaging and targeted drug delivery applications in pancreatic cancer.
