FEC-T plus pertuzumab is a multi-agent chemotherapy and targeted therapy regimen used primarily for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. The FEC-T component consists of three chemotherapeutic agents—5-fluorouracil (F), epirubicin (E), and cyclophosphamide (C)—followed by docetaxel (T). Pertuzumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the extracellular dimerization domain of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 protein (HER2), blocking ligand-dependent heterodimerization with other HER family members and inhibiting downstream signaling pathways such as MAP kinase and PI3K. This results in cell growth arrest and apoptosis. Pertuzumab also mediates antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity. The combination is indicated for neoadjuvant or adjuvant treatment in patients with HER2-positive early or locally advanced breast cancer[1][4][6].
