Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**fedovapagon + itraconazole** is a combination of two pharmaceutical drugs: fedovapagon, a selective vasopressin V2 receptor agonist under clinical development as a novel small molecule antidiuretic for treating nocturia in men with benign prostatic hyperplasia, and itraconazole, an oral triazole antifungal agent widely used to treat systemic and superficial fungal infections. Fedovapagon acts by activating vasopressin V2 receptors in the renal collecting ducts, enhancing water reabsorption and reducing urine production overnight. Itraconazole inhibits fungal cytochrome P450-dependent 14α-demethylase, leading to impaired ergosterol synthesis—disrupting fungal cell membrane formation. While combination therapy of itraconazole with other agents (notably terbinafine) is documented for fungal infections, there is no direct evidence supporting or contraindicating fedovapagon + itraconazole as a clinical combination; no specific fixed-dose combination product or unique indication has been described for their concurrent use.
