Drug intelligence / Profile preview
F2B22E + DL001Z is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) product developed by Daewoong Pharmaceutical, consisting of fexuprazan (a potassium-competitive acid blocker, P-CAB) and aspirin (an antiplatelet agent). The combination is specifically designed for patients who require long-term aspirin therapy for the prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events but are at high risk of developing aspirin-induced gastric or duodenal ulcers. Fexuprazan provides rapid and potent inhibition of gastric acid secretion by reversibly binding to the H+/K+-ATPase pump in parietal cells, thereby protecting the gastric mucosa from the erosive effects of aspirin, which inhibits protective prostaglandin synthesis. This FDC aims to improve patient compliance and safety in chronic antiplatelet management.
