Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This combination is used to treat coagulopathic bleeding by correcting deficiencies in fibrinogen, prothrombin, and factor XIII. Fibrinogen is converted into fibrin by thrombin, forming a clot. Prothrombin complex concentrates (PCCs) contain factors II, IX, and X, which are essential for the coagulation cascade. Factor XIII stabilizes the fibrin clot by cross-linking fibrin polymers, making it more resistant to fibrinolysis.
