Fibrobody Small Molecule Conjugate (Liver) is a preclinical therapeutic candidate developed by Linxis Biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. It utilizes the company's proprietary Fibrobody platform, which consists of small, stable antibody-like proteins (Fibrobodies) designed to target the platelet-derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGFRB). PDGFRB is highly expressed on activated myofibroblasts, the primary cells responsible for excessive extracellular matrix production in fibrotic tissues. By conjugating a therapeutic small molecule payload to a PDGFRB-specific Fibrobody, the drug aims to selectively deliver the treatment to fibrotic liver tissue, thereby increasing local efficacy while minimizing systemic side effects.
