ficlatuzumab + gefitinib

Ficlatuzumab (formerly known as AV-299) is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), thereby inhibiting activation of the c-Met receptor. The HGF/c-Met pathway is implicated in tumor growth and resistance to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Gefitinib is a small molecule inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase, used primarily for NSCLC with activating EGFR mutations. The combination of ficlatuzumab and gefitinib has been investigated in clinical trials for NSCLC to overcome or delay resistance to EGFR inhibitors by dual blockade of both pathways[1][3][4][6].
