Drug intelligence / Profile preview
G2302 is an orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) formulation of **fimasartan**, a non-peptide angiotensin II receptor antagonist (ARB) used for the treatment of hypertension. Developed by **BCWorld Pharma** using its proprietary "G-ODT" technology, G2302 is designed to dissolve rapidly in the mouth without the need for water, which can improve medication adherence in patients with dysphagia or those who require a more convenient administration method. Fimasartan, the active ingredient, selectively blocks the **angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptor**, thereby inhibiting the vasoconstrictor and aldosterone-secreting effects of angiotensin II. This mechanism leads to reduced peripheral vascular resistance and a decrease in blood pressure. G2302 has undergone Phase 1 clinical evaluation in South Korea, specifically bioequivalence studies comparing it to the reference fimasartan product, Kanarb.
