Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FL115 + Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) is a combination immunotherapy being developed by Suzhou Forlong Biotechnology for the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), including patients who are BCG-unresponsive. FL115 is an engineered interleukin-15 (IL-15)/IL-15 receptor subunit alpha (IL15RA) fusion protein created using F-body technology. It functions as an IL-15 superagonist, designed to enhance anti-tumor immunity by stimulating natural killer (NK) cells and CD8+ T cells while maintaining a small molecular weight for superior tumor penetration and an extended half-life compared to native IL-15. BCG is a live attenuated strain of *Mycobacterium bovis* that induces a potent local immune response in the bladder. The combination therapy is administered intravesically to synergistically activate the immune system against bladder cancer cells.
