Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FLU-Q-PAN H7N9 + AS03B is a combination pandemic influenza vaccine formulation designed for immunization against avian influenza A(H7N9). It consists of an inactivated, split-virion H7N9 influenza virus antigen (the primary immunogen) combined with the proprietary oil-in-water adjuvant AS03B. AS03B functions to enhance the immune response, enabling antigen-sparing and improving the breadth and magnitude of antibody production. While H7N9-specific immunogenicity and safety data are limited, analogous Q-Pan vaccines (such as Q-Pan H5N1 + AS03B) have demonstrated robust immunogenicity and acceptable safety profiles in adults and children, supporting pandemic preparedness efforts. The vaccine is manufactured and stockpiled for rapid deployment during influenza outbreaks of the corresponding H7N9 subtype. AS03B is developed and manufactured by GSK and includes squalene, DL-α-tocopherol, and polysorbate 80 as its main components[3][5][7][9].
