Overview

Fluticasone furoate + fexofenadine is a combination of two pharmaceutical agents used primarily for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and related allergy symptoms. Fluticasone furoate is a synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid that acts as an agonist at the glucocorticoid receptor, exerting potent anti-inflammatory effects in nasal tissues to reduce symptoms such as congestion, sneezing, and runny nose[5][2]. Fexofenadine is a second-generation selective H1-antagonist antihistamine that blocks histamine H1 receptors to alleviate symptoms like itching, sneezing, and watery eyes without causing significant sedation[1][6]. The combination targets both inflammatory and histaminergic pathways involved in allergic responses. Both drugs are available over-the-counter individually; their combination may be used for enhanced symptom control in seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis.
